About She Loves Data
She Loves Data is a global non-profit movement that makes AI, data, and leadership learning accessible to women and minorities. Through free workshops, mentoring, career support and community events, we help people develop practical skills and gain the confidence to progress in their professional journeys.
Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Events & Project Coordinator to support the Vietnam Chapter in identifying event venues and executing local events.
This role is critical in helping us restart and build momentum in Vietnam by securing suitable locations for both small community gatherings and larger-scale events.
The focus is on local execution and coordination, especially within Ho Chi Minh City.
Key Responsibilities
Venue Sourcing & Partnerships
Identify and secure suitable venues for events, including:
Small community meetups (e.g. coffee shops, co-working spaces, casual venues)
Larger event spaces (50+ attendees)
Build relationships with local venues, universities, and partners
Negotiate basic terms (availability, capacity, logistics)
Event Coordination
Support end-to-end coordination of events:
Venue booking
Setup requirements
On-site coordination (if applicable)
Work closely with Chapter Leads on event timelines and execution
Local Market Scouting
Identify and recommend local “scenes” where tech and non-tech communities gather
Stay informed on community spaces, events, and partnership opportunities in Vietnam
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with Marketing and Chapter Leads to align on event needs
Provide updates on venue options, availability, and constraints
Who We’re Looking For
Based in Vietnam (preferably Ho Chi Minh City)
Fluent in Vietnamese; comfortable in English
Strong local knowledge and network (“knows their way around” the city)
Organised and proactive, with strong execution mindset
Comfortable reaching out to venues and coordinating logistics
Able to work independently in an async, volunteer-driven environment
Commitment
Approx. 4–6 hours per week
Flexible, remote-friendly (with some local coordination as needed)
