Steve works with organisations to help them access and understand their data, and use that data to monitor performance and make data-driven decisions. His team does that through not just the right technology but also developing the right culture and organisation capabilities.
He is an analytics, business intelligence, data warehousing and decision support consultant, architect, advisor, speaker, trainer and researcher with over 20 years of experience in a wide range of industry sectors, in many countries, and with many different sized organisations.
In 2009, Steve founded Minerra to work with senior executives to help their organisations implement analytics, business intelligence, data science and data warehousing systems that focus on building data-driven decision-making capability rather than just implementing a technology solution.
His research interests include how to increase data literacy in organisations, how to increase diversity in the analytics profession, what makes business analytics user interfaces and data visualisations effective decision support tools, and how analytics can be used to truly transform organisations.
