Join She Loves Data and TIBCO to earn your Dashboard Foundations Badge in a series of training modules developed by Singapore’s Management University, geared to help you stay professionally competitive in today’s tough job market.

DASHBOARD FOUNDATIONS – PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The creation of Dashboards to communicate and visualise data and therefore business insights have become an important part in almost every industry sector. Whether they are produced for sales, marketing, finance or executive teams, they allow even non-technical users to participate and understand the analytics process by compiling data and visualizing trends and occurrences. This program will provide you with the right techniques to successfully design, develop and deploy dashboards, enhancing your core competencies to ensure your skills are as relevant to today’s market as they could be.
Here is how our program is structured what you can expect to learn over the course of the 4 sessions (dates and time below):
Module 1: Dashboard exploration as an end user. Marking and Filtering concepts.
In this session you will explore dashboards from the viewpoint of your audience, the end user. Presentation is everything!
Module 2: Asking the right questions by understanding what data is important to answer the analytical business requirements. Foundations of charts and basic visualizations.
This session will help you understand that sometimes it is necessary to translate business questions into concrete analytical questions and how to choose the charts to help you visualize data.
Module 3: Basic in Data cleaning, advanced visualizations, and connecting to multiple data sources.
Data usually have some issues… learn how to tidy them in order to be able to use them.
Module 4: Designing the dashboard for end-user consumption.
What will be the best design for my dashboard? Is the information displayed correctly? Do the right people have access to it?

During the program you will learn to develop and create dashboards using TIBCO Spotfire and each attendee will receive a free 1 year-license to TIBCO Spotfire (subscription value US$1250) to use after you have completed the course.
You do not have to have any prior experience creating dashboards, however, we do need you to have worked with spreadsheets such as Excel or Google Sheets.
Classes will be delivered online so you will need a stable internet connection and a laptop or computer. This course is open to all genders.
As usual with our courses, they are FREE! As an added value we will offer the opportunity to apply for a paid Dashboard Foundation Certificate and Digital Badge to add to your CV and Profile after the completion of the learning module.
Participation in the workshops and completion of the assignments will earn you Participation Points. Earn a minimum of 600 participation points to apply for the Dashboard Foundation Badge and certificate or 900+ points to apply for the Platinum Dashboard Foundation Badge and Certificate (with Distinction). – Během kurzu bude pro účastníky vytvořena speciální „místnost“ v aplikaci Teams, ve které najdou veškeré studijní materiály potřebné pro absolvování kurzu.
– Účastníci obdrží uživatelské jméno a heslo, které jim umožní podívat se na studijní materiály také z domova.
– Aby bylo možno zpřístupnit účastníkům kurz vzdáleně, budeme muset VŠE předat osobní údaje: jméno, příjmení, datum narození a platnou emailovou adresu.
– V rámci kurzu budou využívány Power BI a hra Adgame, které nepodporují Safari (Apple).

Dlouhodobě vyučuje informatiku na VŠE a stále ji to baví. Věnuje se především oblasti aplikací grafických dat a analytických úloh v BI. V současnosti spolupracuje na FIS v oblasti podpory výuky formou blended-learningu.
Volný čas věnuje především kutilství, ráda předělává staré věci do nového designu, má ráda umění a baví se při fotografických kolážích ve Photoshopu.

Miluje data – vidí je za vším, rád se v nich přebírá a pořád něco analyzuje.
V České národní bance pracuje jako hlavní analytik na vývoji DWH a datově orientovaných IS. Spolupracuje ve výuce studentů informatiky na VŠE a to velmi úspěšně. Studenti ho mají rádi.
Ve volném čase nic nedělá, protože žádný nemá. Kdyby měl, chodil by běhat, což dříve hodně dělal. Má rád klasickou fotografii, detektivky a skautování a chytré lidi.

Thilma Komaling is a Social Activist and an AI Ethics and Policy Researcher. She is the woman behind Car Free Day movement in 2004 that has later been replicated nationwide. She also initiated Smart Citizen Day (the first in the world) in 2018 in collaboration with Ministry of Communications and Information with a citizen reporting application.
