Last May 27, 2026, She Loves Data Philippines gathered working moms, housewives, entrepreneurs, and lifelong learners for “AI for the Modern Mom Bootcamp,” an immersive learning experience on AI as a practical tool woven into the rhythms of everyday life.

The workshop moved fluidly between productivity, parenting, side hustles, AI workflows, and the emotional realities of navigating modern motherhood in an AI-influenced world. Attendees explored how artificial intelligence can support careers and businesses, and also the invisible labor mothers often carry across work, home, caregiving, and personal growth.

The event reflected a more nuanced philosophy around AI literacy — one that recognizes technology adoption is not purely technical, but deeply social, emotional, and cultural.

Founded in Singapore, She Loves Data is one of the world’s leading women and technology global non-profit communities. Run by volunteers, it operates across multiple countries and reaching thousands of women globally through workshops, mentorship, and upskilling programs focused on data, digital, and AI literacy. In the Philippines, the organization continues to grow a grassroots movement of women helping other women navigate digital transformation.

“Our goal is to make AI and data literacy feel less intimidating and more actionable for everyday women,” said Evert Chris Miranda, Chapter Head of She Loves Data Philippines.

“We want women to feel that they belong in these conversations regardless of their background, profession, or life stage. AI should not feel exclusive to technologists or large corporations. It’s already shaping daily life, and women deserve to participate in that future with confidence.”

The bootcamp featured a diverse lineup of accomplished women from media, business, technology, and entrepreneurship, each bringing a distinct perspective and multidimensional conversation on how AI is reshaping modern life and motherhood.

Ronna Capili Bonifacio, Editor-in-Chief of Smart Parenting, explored the realities of raising children in an AI world and the growing responsibility of parents to guide digital behavior and critical thinking early on. Sales and Marketing Business Consultant and Corporate Trainer Jaycee Ynares shared practical ways mothers can use AI to enhance productivity. Fleire Castro, founder of AI marketing start-up DashoContent and Third Team Ventures, discussed how mothers can leverage AI tools to create business opportunities and new income streams. Meanwhile, Claire Tayco, CEO of CirroLytix Research Services, balanced the conversation by unpacking the broader implications of AI and tech on raising children through the lens of ethics, governance, and responsible use of AI.

What made the event distinct was not just the subject matter, but also the vibe. Every detail of the experience was thoughtfully curated. From premium keepsake tote bags and stickers, overflowing coffee, and familiar merienda favorites from Goldilocks, every touchpoint was designed to foster connection and curiosity.

Far removed from the utilitarian atmosphere of traditional tech workshops, attendees were welcomed into an environment that blended learning, hospitality, and community. Conversations unfolded over laptops, coffee, merienda, and shared experiences of reinvention, ambition, burnout, parenting, freelancing, and adapting to a rapidly changing world.

For Pat Mendoza, Co-Lead of She Loves Data Philippines event and Brand and Cultural Strategist behind the bootcamp’s creative direction, the workshop was intentionally designed to challenge conventional notions of what AI education looks and feels like.

“Most AI conversations today are still designed around technical authority or corporate productivity,” Mendoza shared. “We wanted to create a learning environment that felt more human, emotionally intelligent, and culturally relatable. Filipino women are already navigating multiple worlds every single day. AI literacy becomes more meaningful when it acknowledges the complex realities of modern women’s lives and integrates seamlessly into them.”

“We wanted to create a learning environment that felt more human, emotionally intelligent, and culturally relatable," said Pat Mendoza, Co-Lead of She Loves Data Philippines.

Behind the event was also a volunteer-led collective of accomplished women from different industries who contributed their time, expertise, and energy outside of their full-time careers. This reflects the collaborative spirit that continues to define She Loves Data communities around the world.

The workshop was supported by organizations that share the vision of making learning and opportunity more accessible, including PLDT Home Life, AHEAD Tutorial and Review, and Goldilocks.

The Modern Mom AI Bootcamp marks the beginning of a bigger effort to make AI literacy more accessible and community-driven for women across the country. She Loves Data Philippines is set to launch its upcoming “AI Advantage Boostcamp Masterclass,” a certification-based online learning program happening from September to November that aims to bring together more women across the Philippines for deeper conversations and practical applications of AI in work and everyday life.

More details on upcoming workshops, programs, and community initiatives will be announced through the She Loves Data newsletter, website at shelovesdata.com and She Loves Data Philippines’ official Facebook and Instagram channels @shelovesdataphilippines.
